I started sailing in college and went straight to Windsurfers. I sailed 470s for a few years, then had kids. Now sail dinghies and crewed on a Corsair tri for a while. I try to avoid the big keel boats these days
I also build and race IOMs and Victoria model sailboats and have learned much since i started sailing at SOL!

I can ping race.sailport.se, but when I load the client in either Chrome or Firefox, it hangs while "waiting for race.sailport.se" for the weather download. Both active races are the same, blank race screen with no polars or chat either. Flash is newest, 10.1.85.3, new install, but cleared the cache anyway.
I'm currently trying to navigate through the islands with the mobile client... not advisable for max performance!!

It does work like that, Peter. I've done it several times before. Set it to go off anytime in the last half hour, even many hours ahead of time, and it will work.

All of a sudden I can't log onto any race! I get error windows in Google Chrome and in Firefox. Even the sailonline.org home page sometimes gets an error, "The server returned an error. If this problem persists please contact the administrators."
