Hi all

Why don´t you use the old client? You can choose race after you have logged in with your password!

I agree that the old client is much smarter than the Flash one!
Sambal: The flash client will keep improving, but the old client is being phased out. Please send me feedback on how to improve the flash client to your liking and I'll do my best.
Kalle,

I used Beta 103 a few times during the last leg, especially when I was not near my own computer. The changes in version 107 are much better with regards the resizing of the screen. It is going to make Sailonline much more appealing to those on the fence.

There are still a few useful things missing.

1. Boat Tracks! This is a key tool when racing other boats and for checking your course/wind angles. I am surprised and disappointed this has been let off?

2. Polars. It would be great to have a larger version of the polars as at low speeds the current chart is too small.

3. Boats. Some of the boats show up as dots and others as small light grey boat shapes, why is this? Why not keep the colours?

This coupled with the lack of tracks will make it very difficult to keep track of rivals.

Don't get me wrong, I am really pleased to see a web based version, and you have put in lots of work to get it to this stage.

However, as you stated yourself "It's just the client itself that is beta, to let you know it is <b>newly developed and isn't throughly tested yet</b>". If this is the case why are we expected to rely on just a Beta flash version, which is still missing tools ... it is almost like a step back at the moment?

I will continue to use both until the things above are added to the flash version.

Looking forward to Leg 2, in the hope I do not make nav error again!

Thanks, Richard : )
Newer version is a big improvement, boat search and nav tool are really useful.
Scrolling is much better than old client and I can use it at work :-)

Boat tracks and re-sizable polar/map windows would make it my preferred interface
Two things that would help on the Beta GUI...

- Better contrast and larger text on the statistics boxes (Speed, TWA etc). Black on grey is hard to read - it was much clearer on the old one. (I suspect readability varies with screen resolution?)

- a white or opaque field behind the text by the cursor position. It is often hard to read with arrows, boats and now ruler text behind it.
Is it me, or is it different? Last race when I would send commands for a course change, when running TWA, the Compass Course would adjust. Now it doesn't. It requires that you manually enter the heading number from the stats bar at the bottom of the page. And go through the Command cycle all over again.

Just a comment. This too should be fixed.

Soro: The update of both fields work as before on my computers..
Hmmmmm,
One thing I don't get. When the UTCtime sais 10.53, the wind forcast is on 07.40!? Which wind am I sailing in???
A bug prevents the most left-hand time in the timeslider to update. If your computer clock and timezone is set correctly, the instrument clock shows your current time.
