5 November 2009

Within the Transat Timed race, there appears to be a "next best" start time of 0500 UTC Friday 6 November. Over a drink after last night's IRL rum race, two KIWIS are planning to use this start: "Purcey" & "NZL_PaulR". We have agreed to this time between ourselves. Unfortunately we are both racing IRL (UTC +13) on the same class boats being Friday night, all day Saturday, and every night next week as well. The following weekend is a 50 years celebration of the Stewart 34 class in Auckland so don't be surprised if our steering is a little erratic. LOL. So most of the race will be by delayed commands, but we are happy to invite other SoL'ers who have not yet started to join us in the race within the Transat. Please click on the "Go to post" below and add your names so we know who is with and against us! (This will keep the names in a more permanent format than in the "Chat" tab.)
