The SYC Membership payments system is in the process of being updated.

Current Members
If your membership is due for renewal in the next month or if you have had a reminder, please email admin@sailonline.org with a note of your boatname and the date your membership is due to run out.

If you believe your membership is due for renewal soon, email admin@sailonline.org, and we can confirm the current date of expiry.

New Members
If you are trying to join SYC for the first time, we thank you for wanting to support Sailonline, but have to apologise for the inconvenience and hope you will join when we announce the new system is in place.

NOTE
Please note this thread is locked as we consider it would be inappropriate to conduct discussions about individual memberships here.

AHOY SOLers!

We believe the Payments System is now functioning, although the reminder emails have (temporarily) been suspended.

If you know you are due to renew your membership, please will you try and do so now by clicking on the Sailonline Yacht Club link under the Support Sailonlline banner in the left column of this page.

Hi, I have created the Paypal payment to be in English but it seems that sometimes Paypal chooses Swedish (because Sailonline NavSim is registered there).

I would like to hear in what language you get the payment page after pressing "Pay now"?

II had the invoice from Paypal in English and the amount in SEK (which gets converted to local currency).
Had a minor issue with my Paypal email address being different than the one on record on SOL (all my email addreses are forwarded to my root address). This was all resolved with Svein and have not encountered the Sweedish dialog issue.

Starting in Douala, Cameroon the 170 nm course takes us around the island of Bioko with its Caldera and tropical rainforests finishing in Calabar, Nigeria. The boat for this race is the sporty Farr 30. This is a TIMEDrace so you may RE-REGISTER HEREto try again after finishing a run. Natuna Sea Race 2026


At 4.0N 108.2E lies the island of Natuna Besar, Great Natuna, surrounded by at least 154 islands, of which 127 uninhabited, Indonesia’s Natuna Regency, and all around this archipelago, the Natuna Sea, bordered by Borneo to the east, the Java Sea to the south, and the Malay peninsula to the west, and extending north to cross a disputed international border with China into the South China Sea. And it’s a border that matters, there’s gas here! But why worry, let’s race – 2050nm in our goo’ol’ Open 60s in between the production platforms, prowling destroyers and submarines.

Cape Town to Rio 2026

Welcome to South Africa and RCYC's classic transatlantic Cape2Rio Race from Cape Town, South Africa, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. First run in 1971, this run is buddied with the IRL, Cape2Rio 2025 arranged by the Royal Cape Yacht Club with the cooperation of the
Iate Clube do Rio de Janeiro Despite this being announced the 2025 race (starting dec. 27) it is the 2026 SOL championship kickoff. This virtual version, will be raced once again in Mark Mills' 74ft speedster, the stunning C2R74.
