Commentary

It was another race that looked easy and pleasant. It is true that most of the route looked like that but it could only lull the navigators into a false sense of security. The finish had to be planned much earlier. The choice of place, time of the last turn and approach to the finish line were decisive for the results of the race. We watched a fierce battle in various positions. In the end, WRmirekd defeated ALP317 and Satori mboo7 and rafa. A beautiful fight for sixth place between CriticalHippo and MaxStarostin. Congratulations to the winners and all participants.

The leatherback turtle is the most widely distributed marine reptile on planet Earth, and chooses to breed in warm tropical waters, but prefers to forage in more temperate habitats, travelling thousands and thousands of miles effortlessly annually to maintain this way of life. Our race will follow one of the typical trips of this turtle, from breeding grounds in the seas off West Papua to the coast of Oregon.
