Flex Error #1001: Digest mismatch with RSL http://www.sailonline.org/static/windy/ framework_3.5.0.12683.swf. Redeploy the matching RSL or relink your application with the matching library.

I also get RSL errors and error #2046. This http://bit.ly/Vewkx0 post suggests a signing error as well.
Is this an issue with the new client? How can I use the 'classic' client? Looking forward to starting leg 4 later today. If I can!!!

Hi Ralf,

Judging by the link you posted you are running a local copy of the client in stead of the web based. Try clearing the browser cache and load the client via the link on the homepage.
The only thing we did was change the beta version to the default and you can still load the classic with this url: /windy/run/{raceID}/?version=classic
Did you guys have trouble running the beta client before as well?
I am a ex-admin of SOL who joins in from time to time.

Not sure if I ran the beta client before. I seem to remember seeing it, but that may have been on a different machine. Either way, it was some time ago.
I cleared flash and browser cache, but it doesn't help. Running flash 11.2.202.258 on linux amd64.
The classic client does work.

Hi Jaap,

Found out a little more on the subject and would like to test something. I can't test it myself.

If you go here and uncheck store common flash components.

Then load the sol client form the homepage, what happens then?

Afterwords feel free to go back and re-check the box. Looking forward to hear your findings.

The problem may be Firefox. The client loads just fine in Chrome, but with the Fox I, too, get that error.

For anyone wanting the Classic Client, there is now a link in the Race Description.

Going forward, and until further notice, all Race Descriptions will contain a linke to the SOL Classic Client.

Lago Viedma Ice Race 2025


Less than one third of the land mass of the planet is to be found in the southern hemisphere, and most of that in tropical to temperate latitudes or in Antarctica, so it is difficult to find good natural ice to race DNs anywhere in August! However, if you take an internal flight from Buenos Aires to Aeropuerto Internacional Comandante Armando Tola de El Calafate by the shores of Lago Argentino, it’s only a 100km taxi ride to Lago Viedma, where we have set out a few beacons on the ice for you for a quick 80nm blast around the four corners of the lake, and as it’s so remote here, no need to worry about breaking the solitude of monks or suffering PL!

This fourth race is from Kristiansand in Norway down Denmark’s North Sea coast to Esbjerg; circa 150nm in Sailonline’s magnificent 90m Barque.

We'll set off from Marstrand, Sweden, which, along with Skagen, Denmark, marks the line commonly recognised as the border separating the Baltic Sea from the North Sea. The wind howls – and sun be none (it’s Winter, Sin’bro, ed.) – and all days from the west, but let’s launch anyway and see if we can work our SOL Balloon north as the days pass aiming for Asthralaya, where The Mahabharata tells the ancients once tested mighty weapons, about a quarter and a million qasbah away (2500nm, ed.), perhaps one month.
