Whiskey Tango Foxtrot....!!!!!

hats off to Jake and Smo for taking the time to build the race. it will probably take as long to sail it as it did to build it.

methinks there will be a lot of bbq action in this race...

can't wait until registration opens just to see how many rocks there really are...

Post annotated by RainbowChaser :
This post was moved from the category Races.
This is a difficult one requirng a lot of attention over a very long time.

I propose a team boat (maybe 4 solers) with other solers!

We can call our boat "RaidTeam".

Please let me know if anyone is interested!

nacrr
would be happy to sail with you and be at your command, my email is m_luengo38@hotmail.com.

the night can do without ningum problem

Please note that if you are going to be creating a team boat for this race, it is Sailonline convention that:

1. everyone steering needs to already be registered on Sailonline (ideally also be SYC members)

2. a complete list of boats/names racing in the team must be posted

3. none of the individual boats in the team may race independently of the team in that race.

Will be fun if this takes off :-)
Rules will be followed completely!

We are set elbetico. Let's see if anybody joins in!

I think this race will work out quite well---IF you are confined to bed for several days and suffer from insomnia. I will attempt it, but having some sort of minimal life to live as well, I do not think I will be in the first 300.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
nacrr - you do not need to register a new boat - I can simply change your name to that of RaidTeam (once you have your full complement/crew listed)!

The Vineyard Race 2025

For the first time since first hosting a virtual Vineyard in cooperation with Long Island's Stamford Yacht Club back in 2010, due to an operational calendaring error, Sailonline has missed the start of the real life race, the USA’s Labor Day weekend this year unusually falling across the turn of August. Silly SOL! So, a week late please join us anyway for a virtual rerun of Stamford’s iconic annual overnighter from their club line out the sound to Buzzard's Bay Light near Martha's Vineyard Island and back again, leaving Block Island to starboard. This year, Sailonline is making its magic MC 38 available to competitors, a race boat with a quirky polar that will require you to stay wide awake as you speed around the c 250 nm course, in rockstar style!

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
