I have made a comparison of Leg 2 between myself, some of the top finishers and Team Brunel. As we can see in the attachment, the southernes had a better average speed, but not enough to compensate for the distance sailed.

It's interesting to see that TBRU sailed the shortest distance and yet they went much further east than the top SOL finishers.

The SOL polars seems to be matching the IRL-boats pretty well. TBRU had an average SOG of 10.49 vs. Gilles 10.35 and bigbull 10,78.

Maybe by now the recipients of these, once off prizes, would have shared their surprise gifts to other Solers, so I will now give all you other Solers added incentive to take a podium finish in the SWR 2014-2015.

As a finisher on the podium you will receive a high resolution print, in pdf, of your result on a painting unique to that leg. These are paintings that I have done using Corel Painter.

Attached here are the two prints for the first place finishers in Legs 1 and 2
