Having taken a peek at the course about to be run tomorrow I was struck by the odd number of 'marks' & in a couple of instances their placement relative to nearby landforms which causes me to offer this conjecture, were they intended to actually be on land but for whatever reason did not line up as intended ?

Since these courses were drawn up "in house" I believe that it would be helpful for them to be accompanied by some insightful comments about the intent of their design.

I know New Zealand is a day ahead, but this coming Sat is is the 11th of April, not the 12th. Please check the time and date of the race close in the announcement on the home page.
Does this race end on the 12th (Sunday) or on Saturday (the 11)?

A conundrum for sure & one that has happened before, perhaps dates should be included as part of the standard format for race descriptions in the future.

The Calendar for Q2 would indicate that Saturday is the last day, this however is only an observation & is not in any way an official determination.

Tobruk to Iskenderun 2026

Welcome to the fourth of our nine races across the length and breadth of the Magical Mediterranean Sea, and the second that is not in partnership with a real-life event, this time for good reason, which we won’t get into here. From Tobruk to Iskenderun it’s 670nm in length, with the added complication that the island of Cyprus will be in your way. Hoping, possibly forlornly, for plenty of downwind sailing, we’ll take the Lagoon 55 for the voyage!
