Page: 1 2 Next

Hello,

qtVlm's Route logbook doesn’t show the complete "date and time" (left column)– at least on a mac – , which is annoying when you try to put some DC into brainaids dc toolbox or the SOL DC setter. >screenshot

Also kroppyers qtVlm DC Converter doesn't seem to work properly: He gives me constantly a date/tim line like this: 1970/01/01 01:00:00

Does anybody has some helping advice!

Can you attach the csv that gives the errors on the conversion page?
Yup. Here they are.

Got it working now. Depends on what columns you have on (or off). For me it works with Icon(sail/engine), TWD, TWA, STW, CTW, SOG, AWS, AWA CS, CD columns on, rest off.

Thanks, I have put a new version of the converter online. Both files should work "out of the box" now. When you have yet another type of file (with different columns), you can now easily select which columns the converter should use.

The old version is still available should the new version not work properly for you. If that's the case, please let me know.

(EDIT: timezone issue in the new version is now fixed)

When I export format csv I have "road.csv"
I go in the new version I open road.csv
After convert to brainaid DC format I have the good date but with actual hour!
Thank you. The date in your file is dd/mm/YYYY, while the converter prefers mm/dd/YYYY (I believe). I will try to get it fixed soon. Meanwhile, you may be able to convert the date format yourself in excel or the like.

The fifth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us back south down the Atlantic from Sao Tomé on the Equator to Tristan da Cunha on the edge of the Roaring Forties. New Ice Age 2026 - Neumayer Station to Scott Base

For a second-half of long-distance ice-boating, we take our DNs to Antarctica for a circumnavigation of that continent in two legs clockwise, in harmony with the prevailing winds (such as there are), beginning with a race from Germany’s Neumayer Station to New Zealand’s Scott Base. It’s about 3500nm, which, if there’s wind at all, should, well-wrapped in your DN-cockpits, not take you much more than five days. And remember: charts down here are unreliable – what is land and what is ice?!
