Not sure. I think it can't find C:\SOL\Java14\agl14_1_0_1.jar. Try upgrading to the new version and see what happens.

Unable to set DCs, therefore unable to refresh DCs in game.

Hi guys, I'm at a bit of a loss with setting up this version on a Mac. In particular this passage in the manual about setting the 'execution bit set'. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

6.For Mac and linux users only:a.Navigate down to /SOL/Java14/macOS_linux_shfolder. The files will have a .shextensionb.These files will need to have the execution bit set using the shell command chmod +xbefore they can be run.c.It is preferable to add the export AG14InstallDir=/SOL/Java14/export AG14Version=agl14_2_1export JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS=-Dfile.encoding=UTF8into you /etc/profile. That way they will be permanently set.d.Once the profile has been updated and saved, open a new shell and type echo $AG14InstallDirYou should see /SOL/Java14/returned.

For some reason it has tried to access a button which has not been defined yet. I can't reproduce the error. Have you waited until the initialisation is complete and the DCs have been loaded before trying anything? You will need to restart and try again.

It is driven off shell scripts. Have a read through this this which will explain everything you need to know about creating and running shell scripts. Pay particular attention to environment variables, in particular, how to set them permanently as the system relies on them at run time as well.

Thanks Kipper I will have a read.
Still no joy Andrew.
I downloaded 14.2.1 Version (without maps).
Carefully carried out install instructions.
It loads but with same Pointer exceptions.
As well as greyed out "Current Boat Date" tab, the Mayday respondents and AIS contacts are also greyed out.
It may be due to my PC not being able to use Open GL.
Is it possible to provide a link to the previous version files? That worked with Use "Open GL Engine" not selected.
Regards
Dave

.

The previous version should still be there unless you deleted it (AG14_1_0_1.jar). Just edit AG14Version.bat, change AG14_2_1 to the old version (AG14_1_0_1), and run AGVersion.bat. If you don't have AG14_1_0_1.jar, I've put a copy on OneDrive. Download it and place it in your Java14 folder.

That being said, you should seriously look at why you computer does not support OpenGL. It's been around for years and is supported in software even if you don't have graphics card support. Alternatively buy a cheap graphics card with OpenGL support and install it.
Thank you Andrew.
14_1_0_1.jar now downloaded and working well. I will look into getting a new graphics card. I will just have to be careful with PL.

Isla San Lorenzo RTI 2025

SOL’s SRC (Sailonline Race Committee) has taken us to some unusual places in the past, and San Lorenzo Island off Lima’s Callao peninsula is definitely another one. Housing a naval base and a penal institution, no vessel is allowed within 300m of its shores. Also, with no sources of potable water, it is a matter of debate whether it is an island at all, and not just a large rock. So, whatever you do, don’t be tempted to BBQ; you’ll be arrested and go thirsty! We return for the first time since 2018 to race thirteen potentially unlucky miles in J-30s; have fun!!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
