I am trying to activate QT and have an error when it comes to NMEA activation. Not sure what I did wrong, can someone point me in the right direction?

What are you using to send NMEA to qt? Make sure it's Started, and that the ports match. More advanced troubleshooting would involve checking that you don't have a strict firewall that's blocking ports. If both qt and the NMEA sender are on the same machine, use 127.0.0.1 as the IP address, to avoid going through your router and any firewalls it might have.
I tried 127.0.0.1 No luck. I also turned off my firewall for my computer, and it did not work as well. I am truly stumped. My default browser is MS Edge. Do you think this might be the problem? I think I read something somewhere that is not compatible. My operating system is Windows 10.
Freya, what are you using to send NMEA data to qt?
Use Port number 5010.
NMEA connection lost during the Carib Rum Race. Message is "Failed to connect to TCP Host 192.168.4.26 using Port 5010.Tried changing ports. Opened and closed QtVLM, BrainAid, Closed and opened Proxy. Checked my security software BitDefender. Finally shut everything down rebooted my computer. Reopened everything. Now when proxy is opened Java quickly jumps past risk approval and does not open it for me to approve. Proxy cannot be started. So the problem seems to be Java related. Any ideas out there? I would hate to not be able to continue the Carib Race. I do have a Qt Route to the Bacardi Pick-Up revised after 9/14 UTC 2223 WX with the DC's uploaded.
As a result of not being given an opportunity to accept the Java risk I now cannot login on the Proxy.
Back working!!!! You tell me. It started just like it stopped!!!
I seem to have made an issue with my Java again. My main computer that I used for the M2O race, and used QT for about half of the race. Upon finishing the race, I did something to lose the ability communicate with Java again. Not sure what I did, but I am not able to load the applet in Brainaid as Java will not launch.
I am able to launch everything on my other computers, so I don't think I am crazy!
I am attaching a picture of the error notification.
I have loaded Chrome, and have windows 10 operating system. Anyone with thoughts on why I am having this issue would be fantastic!

Try to update Java via their homesite instead of using brainaid's link: https://www.java.com/en/download/
