Hi all

Attached is the current draft of the August calendar - please let me know here or in chat if you see any problems with it!!

As attachments can't be deleted, newer versions will bear a succeeding letter of the alphabet!

The attachment called Aug0809 is a screengrab of races run in August during 2008 and 2009 for reference.

As always... please don't hesitate to voice your "constructive" comments!!
New file for 1-21 August, now showing the August TransAt.

CLARIFICATION: Please note that the Round Britain and Ireland race is starting on SATURDAY, 31 July 2010 at 1000utc in line with the information posted on the SOL homepage and NOT as in the August Calendar.

RC, I like the proposed format. There seems like a good mix of long and short races.
Personally, when the timing is right, shorter races suit me. But, that timing can change from day to day let alone week to week and I like the mix of short & long races running together.
I appreciate the changes made so quickly, response times like this for the group will make SOL (if not already) the premier online racing platform.
Sadly, in my line of work my available time is limited. If there is something I can offer to help the team please let me know. I am not tied to a desk or computer, however I can access one at various times during the day/night. Unless I lose satellite connection (which accounts for most of my beachings during racing).
Keep up the good work.
ALTERNATIVE style of calendar - using a simple spreadsheet.

What do you think?
Much easier to read. I like it.
The spreadsheet is a plus. This is very good. Keep up the great work!
The sea is lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to sail before I sleep, And miles to sail before I sleep.

Up Helly Aa 2023
A-OI!!! The cry should soon be ringing out in the streets of Lerwick as the Guizer Jarl and his crew, along with the other teams in the Up Helly Aa parade complete their preparations for the biggest fire festival in Europe. As is Sailonline's tradition, we shall be racing the 383nm from Aberdeen to Lerwick to (virtually) take part in the Up Helly Aa festivities there which take place for the first time since 2020 on Tuesday, 31 January. Sinbad Surveys Arabia 2023
Sinbad Al-SOL’er invites you to race him on seven epic voyages (5 to count), not entirely in line with those of his illustrious ancestor Al-Sail’or described in the 1001 Nights, and totally out of line with those voiced over by Brad Pitt in Sinbad - The Seven Seas, commencing with a survey of Arabia, from the island kingdom of Bahrain all the way to Aqaba, there where, in 1917, after a desperate forced march, TE Lawrence, Sherif Nasir and Auda abu Tayi routed the Ottomans. Instead of camels through the sand, though, we’ll voyage the c 3000nm across the sea on IMOCA 60’s.
