Hi Rainbow, we used to return the Sydney Hobart race hence Hobart Sydney, in 2008 we had a waypoint to leave at starboard on Flinders Island, that was really nice!

Hi Cal - thanks for that and for telling me about the Cape Barren waypoint that we need to re-incorporate in the course.

I think maybe SOL could do a mirror IRL SYD-HOB in December with the SOL return leg starting January 1. The actual dates/times need to be checked of course.

N.B. calling it SOL's Tasman Double is a good idea (Leg 1: Sydney-Hobart, Leg 2: Hobart-Sydney) :-)


We also need to decide if we go with a 90ft monohull (more like the IRL racers) or with the Seacart which is more entertaining!!

This month’s TIMED race takes us to the shallow waters of Palk Bay located between India and Sri Lanka. Sail the impressive MC 38 around a roughly 140 nm course through two narrow channels before returning to the start/finish line in Jaffna.
This is a TIMEDrace so you may RE-REGISTER HEREto try again after finishing a run. You will have two weeks to test your skill and decision making after the race opens.

The British Isles Circumnavigation 2026


The British Isles Circumnavigation is here! Inviting skippers to take on an epic 1,720nm clockwise voyage around Britain and Ireland! Starting and finishing in Cowes, the course passes some of the most iconic landmarks in offshore sailing, including Fastnet Rock, Tearaght Lighthouse, Black Rock, St. Kilda and Muckle Flugga before the long run home.
