Board » General Discussion » Polars for Sun Oddessy 49

Dear all.

Does anyone know where I can find a polar diagram/table for Jeanneau Sun Oddessy 49 OS/DS?

Model year is 2005, but anything is of interest? (I need someting to get me started while I build up new data).

Kind regards,
Lolla.
Jeanneau often publishes VPP results for their boats. Their website is not very good, but chances are it's in there somewhere.

Otherwise first stop would be ORC/IMS certificates:2004 SO 49

Slightly different boat, but the shape will be v. close and gives you an estimate of the +20 curves.

Many thanks 76. That ORC certificate will do nicely.

I also found the polar for the SO50 at Jeanneau but I think it's a little faster. The vpp link for the SO49 is broken unfortunately.
"Sailor services" at orc.org allows you to have mailed to you (for free) any recent certificate. Amazing resource!

There's a 2004 DS in there that's faster than the one I sent you. (edit: hmm maybe not. Looks like the club certs are missing the speed tables. Too bad.)

I'm not sure how long it's been up - new to me. I've been using the raw tables to generate polars.
