Board » General Discussion » Sportsmanship

This about Maritroca's superb sportsmanship during the Channel Islands Ramble. I don't know how many others may have done this, 'tis the only one I noticed.
She deserves all my respect and I think she should get special mention for not abandoning the Channel Islands Ramble. She missed the mark at San Clemente and went back all the way to round it again.
I thought I had taken more screen caps and through my clumsiness may have lost a few.
Here are the ones I did manage to keep.
Hat tip to her perseverance.
Cheers!

Everything gets done by not doing anything!
Laozi in general most of the SOL folk are very fair and show great sportmanship and camaraderie in the races and even more so in the practise races. It is what makes SOL very special to us.

In SOL the winners are humble in victory and the 'losers' are loose with dignity in accepting that there are better sailors who win most of the races. We cannot all be winners but none of us are losers, we all 'win' in some sort of way... even if it is only in winning friendships and in gaining experience.

Stick around long enough and you'll see plenty more of that 'sportsmanship' you saw...

Cheers.

I like to talk a lot... sometimes I even make sense, mostly not...

Gracias de nuevo, me he emocionado,

Alicia
