hmm and Jeroen - the following is an exchange of messages in Chiloe SailTalk Chatroom. I cannot find a reason why AL53 SSIta cannot post in the Forum so I said I would post a thread here.

Hope you can figure out why there's a snag here!

Thanks.
Hi AL53 SSIta

What happens when you use a different browser, do you have the same problem?
It looks like you use Chrome and IE.
Did you try to sign out and back in again when this problem occurs?

What connection do you use, broadband or mobile access.

Hope this helps a bit, so far questions only ;)
I am a ex-admin of SOL who joins in from time to time.
I have a similar, but different problem. I can't log onto SOL regularly.

Just before I could not log on to SOL on my normal laptop using IE. Tried it on a different laptop and it worked. Now tried on my regular laptop again using Chrome instead of IE and it worked.
RESOLUTION OF AL53's problem by hmm:

Hello all, together with Alberto's help I was able to fix this problem.

If you're interested in the technical reason then here is the explanation but if not, you're just fine knowing that thank's to Alberto I was able to fix this.

The cause seemed to be that the sphene module (third party library we use for forum) keeps track of the last visit for the user to each forum and for some reason for AL53 SSita this was stored two times in the SYC-forum.

Dana1 - sorry can't explain your problem at all. I do know that some SOLers empty their browser cache very regularly but whether that is preference or necessity I don't know. If you have a slow ISP/connection that can cause hiccups, but usually only at the race-screen loading stage.

Some SOLers swear by Chrome, others by IE or FF... personally, I use Chrome as I think it loads quicker but... again it seems to be a preference thing.

None so blind
Hi,

The idea of removing all SOL cookies would probably work given the fact that IE worked on an other computer. However, I guess I'm not able to find all the SOL cookies, as it still does not work. But, no worries. I will stick to Chrome.
