    @ Aaron

To put this on the knife edge (0.05nm <> 1 meter). What about the width of the boat when it rounds the mark. 125 cat has a width that would indicate that it is not sailing around the marker under these conditions. Most of the boats is wider than 0.05nm, as far as I know. In reality, we sail with knife edges and can give a damn about the width of the boat.

Yes. I know about that pages, but I was thinking more of small rapid changes in the DC line without having to log on to Brainaid site.

The sail boat you have pictured looks familiar ...

What about the possibility of editing the lines in DC?

    ISAF Right of Way Rules.

I'll never forget the first time I attended SOL and sailed after ISAF Right of Way Rules in the South Atlantic. Took a couple of days before I discovered that no one else went according to ISAF :-)

    3) in case of doubt about 1 AND 2 being adhered to .....CHANGE NOTHING !!!!!
Totally agree with you WIN. Sitting with the feeling that if one permit change after the start is gone, this will lead to new protests from those who set up DC's long before the last WP is passed. Have been exposed to this and woke up far away from the finish line. No pleasant experience having set up DC's that would have led me to a good placement. Begins to draw on my age and then I will have my beauty sleep in peace and with the knowledge that I will hit the finish line.

Many set up DC's for the entire race as it is better to get 50 points instead of 200 points because of the possibility of not being online during the race. A just love to hang out with the rankings, and sometimes this goes straight in the bucket ...

I am a bit disappointed that we can not take into account the current and wave motion in this race. High tide and low tide every six hours should be possible to put into the polar regions. It could have given us some real challenges from reality.
