"So our boats are a moving point, rounding a point (mark). "
taking the geometry example above and other mathematical axioms and postulates you could redefine the reference field so the mark point was moving around the boat point and the boat point was stationary. In which case a protest could not be upheld for hitting or passing over the mark, as it would have hit or passed under you.

Tried getting in to check race at work but got a page saying
"Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash"
but I already have Flash installed and it worked a few days ago. Has some setting or something changed that I need something else installed (no admin rights so can't install anything myself
)
Have sent mail to crew@sailport.se with a couple of screenshots...

and disable the Google Earth thing too, then it will really keep everyone in the dark...
Was very interesting to see who had gone where once someone said the GE tracker was working, but even more so if only every 6 hours or some other time, like a regular radio sched.

Some interestion suggestions here, will need to digest a bit more before contributing constructively.
In one post though there was a phrase I did not understand. can someone explain this please:
"to avoid total addiction."
Why avoid the inevitable?

Thanks guys for getting us back to having a focus again, and keeping us informed of progress. Often found myself looking at a screen wondering why I was sitting there with no race underway.
Like some others I am a little disappointed that Zilt placings weren't credited, especially after getting into top 20 AND my wife starting to say things like "We need to tack soon to get into better wind" rather than "How's your boat going?", but then haven't heard anyone in the 400's or 900's complaining about it
Given there was still quite a distance to go and some 'interesting' wx ahead think it was the right decision. (Oh, and I didn't have any sleepless nights during that race so maybe less emotion invested in it?
)
Looking forward to the next start gun
Cheers
