SYC Ranking Explained

SYCRanking

The SYC ranking system is designed with fairness in mind. The philosophy is to favour active and skilled members and still make new members feel welcome.

Ranking rules.

Ranking is based only on races no older than 6 months.
All finished races gives 50 points each as participation bonus.
Top 5 race results are giving acievement points.
The race winner gets 1000 points, last boat gets 1 point.
In timed races, only one boat (the one with minimum time) per user is used in the ranking.
The ranking is only processed about one time per week.
The ranking system is preliminary and is subject to evaluation.
