HERZLICHEN GLUCKWÜNSCH outlaw!!! FELICIDADES rafa!!! CONGRATULAZIONI Neuroman!

That our race wasn't a speedy one was good in that it meant that most SOLers who wanted to could join in while the race was on - all parts of the globe had a chance to participate. The conditions, being light, were always going to be difficult - it is very easy not to pay as close attention as when winds are strongly changeable. But it is just such conditions that bring out the truly competitive spirit - finding every small opportunity to create a win or a podium place. Aaron would have enjoyed the tactics on display - Well Done Podium!

Race Info
A year ago SOLer AGage died. His passing was unexpected and tragic and even now, a year on, there are moments when it seems as if he will just pop up in race chat. His most obvious legacy is SOL's current user interface but a read of this thread written a year ago, and of this more recent one will remind us of just how he gave each of us the impression of "all the time in the world". A truly funny, bright, generous, kind and great guy but, most of all, COMPETITIVE!!

So... in a spirit of true competition, Aaron-style, it is our duty to race our hearts out in AGage's 100!

Fair winds everyone!

Mad Max by Balloon 2026 - Across the Outback

Mad Max Rockatansky doesn’t get to go in a balloon in any of the Legends of the Wasteland, and the Wasteland is not necessarily the Outback of Australia, but Mel Gibson and film director George Miller indubitably are… of Australia, and ballooning as reconnaissance is a main feature of the Mad Max spin-off video game, so here goes: 1500nm in a balloon from somewhere on the edge of the Outback, Goondiwindi, to cross a finish line at Fitzroy Crossing, somewhere on the edge of the Outback!
