	Would it be possible for the current time UTC to be displayed on the web site home page? I know there are plenty of time converters on the web, but it would be really great to be able to see what the time is here... [I voted myself, but clicked No instead of Yes... 	My PC screen Windows Vista has the time in the bottom right hand corner. In vista I have ADDED two clocks, one for Helsinki (UTC+2) and one for USA Pacific time (UTC-8). You can choose what you want, but I think most people here know what time difference they are to UTC, IMHO. A sticky label works well as well. Luckily for half the year we in NZL are +12 hours so the time is CORRECT! You could always move ? ? ? from where you are living LOL (England or NZL) Real navigators keep ONE clock set to GMT and NEVER alter it and record the clock error against time radio pips (or the dropping of a "ball" at noon in some ports). Then the ships clock is set to local time for meals etc but the GMT clock (chronometer) is NEVER altered. So again, SOL sailing is VERY similar and can teach one many features necessary IRL. --- Last Edited by Paul Rosser at 2009-02-13 21:12:04 --- If it breaks, it's not strong enough!

Regata dell’Accademia Navale 2026

Welcome to Sailonline’s partnership with the City of Livorno (Leghorn say the English) in cooperation with the local yacht clubs and the Italian Navy, offering all the online opportunity to race the famous Regata dell’Accademia Navale - 630nm in length. Starting and finishing in Livorno, this year the race takes you the length and breadth of the Tyrrhenian Sea via little Mortorio (Mortoriotto) off Sardinia to Capri and home again to Livorno. This race also counts towards Sailonline’s Magical Mediterranean Series and the SuperBuddy title. Online, you will be sailing a Mini 6.50, to give you a match against several of the real-life entrants, which you will be able to track on-screen!

Rommel by Balloon 2026 - Through the Sahara

Generalfeldmarschall Johannes Erwin Eugen Rommel may have been that chivalrous, gallant tank commander of legend, led astray by the Prussian military traditions of loyalty and chain of command, but one thing he wasn’t, was mad. So, let’s do it anyway – not stick to the coast and the battle for logistical superiority – but depart the oases of Siwa south west into the desert for Agadez and its uranium. And let’s go by balloon, it’s only 2500km (1250nm)!

Falklands to Tasmania 2026
