2024-11-28 05:15:02 - AGL Version 23.1.0 Released
A new version of AGL is here called AGL23_1_0_with_maps.zip. Updated documentation is also available called AGL23 User Manual Ver 23.{X.X}.pdf and release notes in AGL23 Release Notes Ver 23.{X.X}.pdf. Please read release notes for bug fixes and enhancements.

Note that this a full new release be installed according to the instructions in the manual for a new install.

Also note that you can use your existing race folders with this release.

2024-12-10 03:15:35 - AGL23 Release for OpenGL polygon rendering issue.
A new version of AGL is here called AGL23_1_3_update.zip. Updated documentation is also available called AGL23 User Manual Ver 23.{X.X}.pdf and release notes in AGL23 Release Notes Ver 23.{X.X}.pdf. This is a patch to workaround the polygon rendering issue with computers that do not have dedicated graphics cards.

Note that this an update release be installed according to the instructions in the manual for an update.

My PC runs on W8.1...
...and AGL23 it's OK...

Not lucky. There was actually a bug in AGL23 which I thought was related to incompatibility of Java Version 23 and earlier versions of Windows.

Great to hear it works.

A patch for Race 1880 map problem is here called Race_1880_map_update.zip. It is to be installed according to the update procedure in the manual. This will replace the defective tile 198_159.map. If asked to overwrite this file, reply Yes.

Camel or Balloon 2025 - Khartoum to N'Djamena


As there is a lull in the calendar, your PRO has decided to risk an experiment – a balloon race over land, using a workaround to eliminate the recognition of water/land transitions. If it fails, the server may crash, and we abandon PDQ, hopefully after leg 7 of the ABS race to Suez has been decided, and before the start of the 1st OCC of Q4.
