Hi, New laptop so new download.
At step 3, rather than getting folder C:\sol\Java24, I got folder
C:\solAGL24_1_0_With_maps.
The Java24 folder was found in this.
Not sure if it is required, but I just copied the Java24 folder back up to C:\SOL and everything worked.

That's a result of how you unzipped it. You need to use the "Unzip here" option. But if it does end up in a folder of the zip file name, simply cut the Java24 folder in there, and paste it into your C:\SOL folder, and everything will work.

2025-07-21 09:05:44 - Workaround for missing tile information
Until such time as the tech team adds the tile information back, the following steps need to be followed.
1. If you see Tile Map : null on the title bar of your AGL, there is a problem.
2. Check which tile set is being used on client Misc tab.
3. Make sure AGL is shut down and open the folder where you start AGL.
4. In the folder SOLGribXml find the file that matches your race. For race 1935 it will be auth_raceinfo_1935.xml.
5. Open that file in a text editor.
6. Just before the tag <mapurl> , add the line

<tilemap>i<tilemap> for intermediate tile sets or

<tilemap>h<tilemap> for high tile sets.

7. Save and close the file.

8. In the maps folder, delete the files

race_1935.dat and race_1935.map. The "1935" will change to match the current race id.

8. Restart AGL.

AGL will now pick up the tile set information and load the correct set.

2026-07-09 21:22:31 - AGL_shortcut.bat
There was a problem this this bat file that if the Windows desktop has been moved from the default location, the batch file fails. This has been fixed in the release. If you have already downloaded the release and encounter the problem, there is a new version in the release area called AGL_shortcut.bat. Download this into your Java24 folder and run it.

Mad Max by Balloon 2026 - Across the Outback

Mad Max Rockatansky doesn’t get to go in a balloon in any of the Legends of the Wasteland, and the Wasteland is not necessarily the Outback of Australia, but Mel Gibson and film director George Miller indubitably are… of Australia, and ballooning as reconnaissance is a main feature of the Mad Max spin-off video game, so here goes: 1500nm in a balloon from somewhere on the edge of the Outback, Goondiwindi, to cross a finish line at Fitzroy Crossing, somewhere on the edge of the Outback!
