When setting DCs, what is the minimum time gap between each DC that must be accounted for?

Using brainaid's DC tool, it is possible to specify a change every second if you want, but will this actually work on the SOL server, or would say every 5th or 10th DC be registered? (because the time for the other 4 or 9 has past?)

I hope I have worded this understandably...

my understanding is that the server updates boat position every 20sec during this time the boat sails at fixed CC or TWA so no need to change direction faster than 20secs per DC

Hello,

I experience that the boat position in the client is updated every 15 sec (during the IMOCA all 30 sec for some reasons I don't know).
So there might be an update time of 15 sec.

that is in the client, but i was wondering how close together DCs could be and still 'valid' to the server...

As far as i know, you can set DC's to the second and they will all be executed, that is the Server will take them into account in calculating your new position. Even though i don't know, if they will all be visible on the Track.
You may try that by doing a couple of Gybes by Hand on every Update, notice your loss of performance. Than let your boat recover and let it do the same amount of Gybes on DC's seperated by seconds. If the loss is in similar scale, all DC's have been executed.

The final challenge awaits in Leg Four of the Round North Island Series! From Napier, the fleet sets off on a 354 nautical mile run back to Auckland, completing the full circumnavigation where the journey began. Fatigue may be setting in, but this last leg could decide the overall standings. Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
