Celebrating One's Own Birthday:

Many a little will make up a mickle
And your friend, Mouthansar, is now double nickle.
Though still going strong
As he has for so long
His visage now ressembles a pickle.
There was an old sailor called Mouth,
Whose verses were usually 'couth',
He laid out a course,
Hit an island--"Off Course",
And had to stay there for a Month.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
I heard of this sailor named Rod
Who raced with the whales in a pod
Tho' his courses were keen
He was struck by the spleen
When the gray whales thought he was a cod.
Fortunately whales eat but krill,
It fills up their bellies---but still
They won't eat a cod,
And so not a Rod,
So for 'that' I will send you a bill!
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
Oh, by all means send me the bill
With a man with a license to kill
For because of your chivalry
There'll be Cash On Deliv'ry
And this bard will silence his gill.
A show without a smokemachine -
this could not be, what do you mean?
The light goes on
and off I hope -
good fun I add with stroboscope!

(smilie with raised hair..)

<<DO NOT USE FOR NAVIGATION>>
We sing and we dance and we play
If we try we could do it all day,
But we still get the 'hook''
We sing from wrong book,
We only do what we may.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
After watching yet another chat-bout with the computer between Stoerte and his cat, I couldn't resist!

Ode to Stoerte's Feline

While Stoerte sails well on the seas
His cat is the maestro of keys
He now watches his headings
And his counterpart’s sheddings
They both make it seem such a breeze
Ode To Texel

The Texel race with waves so steep
Broken boats, bruised egos and wandering sheep
We round and round to better our times
But all that’s left are a few lonesome rhymes.
On Meeting Friendly Pirates

I know this brave sailor named Shamrock
Who rounded his marks on a damn clock
He is always ahead
And never in bed
And his rhymes are unlocking my liplock

Red Eye - Melville Island PYOC 2026

Melville Island is the largest of the Tivi group opposite the port of Darwin in the Timor Sea. Tropically forested and thinly populated, not a lot goes on there, but let’s race around it anyway, lar- or starboard round, it’s a little more than 120nm, so, no matter where you are navigating from on the planet, you will be hard-pressed to complete the course aboard your J-80 in daylight hours!

Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
