You could attempt to skip a leg, and give your brain a rest,
Catch up on sleep, and chores and stuff, your spouse will be impressed!
But you're not fooling anyone, you'll feel most incomplete.
Leg 3 is but a few more weeks. (then lather, rinse, repeat)

From Stockholm we sail to St. Pete
Though most of the course is a beat
With WIN in the lead
At his usual speed
Besting him would be quite a feat!
From the back of the pack I throw rhymes
They are better than most of my times
I see many a transom
And agree they’re quite handsome
But seeing none would suit me just fine
I agree with your stated desire,
I also wish to look higher,
The sight of your RRRRs,
Doesn't please me by far,
But your bow would give me the 'fire'.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
Devil Commands

Spending a night on DCs
Is like trusting your luck to the seas
You hope and you pray
When, come light of day,
Your hull doesn’t rest amidst trees!

Can't help it.. I'm on a roll ;)

As somewhat of a repeat offender,
an interim solution I'll tender:
(although they're quite handsome)
to avoid seeing transom
next race we'll choose a double-ender.

A two-ended boat such as Noah's
Would solve the view problem, although as
there may be one hitch,
(we'd still know which end's which)
SOL should find a polar for some proas.
76Trombones 04:45: Sometimes the old Smo saves the new Smo,,, sometimes the old Smo goes for a skate and a sauna and the new Smo has a few too many... such is Smo/SOL.... Only tomorrow Smo knows, and he's not saying.
There is a young Finn from the 'Sinki,
Who can double his name, I am thinki,
In the Chat he is single,
In the forum, there's more'v'um,
Which causes us all to go blinki.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
Like restless oceans I cannot sleep
'tho I lay in my bunk and count some sheep
For my mind wanders far across the deep
Through wind and rain to the storm tossed fleet
And there the lonely vigil I keep
Pacing the deck on my aching feet
And I trust unto God that he will keep
Me safely from that bbq beach!

Sailonline’s 15th Birthday Balloon Race
Sailonline offers a huge variety of boats to sail in. One of the more unusual ones has got to be SOL's Balloon, which was polarized by past SOLmaster 76Trombones. Notably, the SOL Balloon will actually ‘sail’ in other directions other than straight downwind, although it will not 'sail' over land or beyond a 'beam reach'. Like in 2013 and 2018, we will be taking the Balloon across the Atlantic from St. John's and 'land' it in the sea off the Cliffs of Moher.
