"...i am a "she" like most Calamities?!..."

LOL LOL LOL LOL

ShamrockPirate 12:24:
There once was a race to St. Pete
I started quite well with the fleet
The first leg was fast
But I finished dead last
As my DCs steered me to Crete!
<<DO NOT USE FOR NAVIGATION>>
That's a good one, Stoertebaker. I hope Shamrock Pirate will find Crete more pleasant than St. Petersburg.

On Looking Like a Winner till You Don't

Donatella the sail racing ace
Who has led almost all of this race
Found a jolly good breeze
Up at 30 degrees
Which now costs him a bit of his pace

BIG CINEMA Mouth, your lim'ricks are amazing! You're an Irish by nature? :-)

3 cheers

Stu
Here is one I saved from Up Helly Aa:

Rod from Up Helly Aa:

Rod 14:32: There was an old sailor from SOL / Who thought that HE knew it all / He DC'd all the courses / But they were for horses / He ended up losing it all.

Onwards Towards Cook Strait - Southern Latitudes Grating on our Nerves

I know a bright woman named Cal
Who's a sailor and everyone's pal
She likes to spank asses
Unlike other lasses
She's a regular salt AND a gal
Awesome mouthansar et al!

Didnt realize I was being discussed in the chat!

Like viking71 - honoured, although he did take out the race so more deserving of it ;-)

This has started yet another 'SOL artform', I will have to put some thought into one myself! I never had the patience to produce 'track art'.

Edit: As gender is not identified on SOL, perhaps using neutral terms unless you know a specific SOLer is a he or she would be good idea?

I help develop the client interface for the best online ocean racing sim there is... __/)/)_/)__
I agree, Aaron. Indeed, I thought that was what I did. Please alert me, if I made a mistake on gender.

And to whomever concerned: My sincere apologies.

Andaman Islands PYOC 2025

The Andaman Islands are an archipelago, made up of 200 islands, in the northeastern Indian Ocean. Together with the Nicobar Islands to their south, the Andamans serve as a maritime boundary between the Bay of Bengal to the west and the Andaman Sea to the east. These waters will be the theater of our next 240nm race in the ARCH 2025 series. Which one you choose depends only on you, i.e. your Elan 410 sport will leave the Andaman Islands on the starboard or port side.

Isla San Lorenzo RTI 2025

SOL’s SRC (Sailonline Race Committee) has taken us to some unusual places in the past, and San Lorenzo Island off Lima’s Callao peninsula is definitely another one. Housing a naval base and a penal institution, no vessel is allowed within 300m of its shores. Also, with no sources of potable water, it is a matter of debate whether it is an island at all, and not just a large rock. So, whatever you do, don’t be tempted to BBQ; you’ll be arrested and go thirsty! We return for the first time since 2018 to race thirteen potentially unlucky miles in J-30s; have fun!!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra

From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
