Is it just me or is there issues somewhere else? No matter what computer I use I can log in and click 'go to race' but then all see is a dark blue screen.

I'm talking both the SWR leg 3 and Bimini Beach.

It's been like that all day. The results show I'm moving still so I wonder in what direction :)
Likewsse I have the same problem for last 2 days.

I can log in to site, but when click on Go To Race all that comes up is a dark blue/teal screen where the race viewr should be. It is not a Windows Blue Screen of Death as it is only within the browser page.
Just a hunch, but clear your browsers cache (history), restart the browser and try again.

Cheers.
Thanks - have tried that and tried different browsers and different computers with same result.

Off duty is right about moving IP addys. When you open the SOL homepage, make sure you are logged in. I have experienced this because I jump around to several networks, from my T-mobile 3G on the boat, to coffee shop wifi, to various friend's networks when housesitting.
Also housekeeping in the database can cause sol to lose your active login.
If you are not logged in the client won't load the race.
I cleaned everything, defragged, sussed for nasties, rebooted and more yet it still said Nope.

We were chatting on Crew and Sloop posted about this thread and when I came to suss the latest I though 'while I'm here' and bingo, i'm allowed to play again :)

No idea what, why or how seeing I've done nothing since the big clean up and it was still saying No.

Weird......
False start. Back to the blue screen of hang again. Bum.

Yes it is a strange one.

Wireless but a good one with a good connection.
Vista Business
Firefox
All fully updated.
Also Flash is the latest version.

The other machine is the same but using XP SP3 on a hard wired high speed line. I haven't tried again with this one for a few days so I'll try again in the morning, it's a work one.

Was all 100% good until I was a day or 2 out from the finish of the World race leg 3. Worked good in the morning but just stopped when I checked in later that day (using the same machine).

It came right the other day, an evening our time NZ, so I got a quick look at the new interface, which I do like, set a DC to the finish of the Bimini Beach. Next morning it wouldn't work again. I think that was the night the SOL team rolled back to the old interface.

I have tried cleaning everything out. It does seem to load more, visibly, after a clean everything. I get to the 'initialising' words then it hangs. If I try again after that but without a clean out all I get is the blue screen.

Watching the modem flashing light, it is doing more when I try after a clean out than without a clean out where it appears it's communicating nothing i.e. the light isn't flashing.

And about now my technical expertise or serious lack of, runs out.

Oh, I haven't seen any other issues with flash or anything on other sites.

The big twist is 2 other SOLers (Otto, PaulR) have logged in pretending to be me and it's worked fine for them. Not to sure their course choices would have been the same as mine though :)

I'm willing to give anything a go to see if it works but being a computer dumbarse someone will have to tell me what that maybe.
