Sorry, Gen Naker, I just haven't checked the forum in several days.
Good internet speed test:
http://www.speedtest.net/

Also needed to correct line in my post. Make that 200 kbps (not mbps).
Thanks Jack.

I'm back in and so far so good.
Got locked out again. Noticed that all of s sudden, with no apparent reason after working fine for the whole day, a flash video wouldn't load from a local new site. Thought that was interesting so tried SOL out of interest and it also was not letting me in. I popped in this morning to see what island my boat was trying to shift and it was all worked fine.

Cleaned out entire browser history and still wouldn't work. Noticed it wouldn't allow me to click the 'Forms and Search History' box. CC Cleaner and still no go. Rebooted and still no go. Had another go at the browser history dump and this time it did let me check the 'forms and search history' box.

Now allowed back in.

So it's either something to do with Flash or something not being cleaned out due to not allowing that 'Forms and History' box to be checked or a combination of the 2. This is using Firefox 10.0.2

I'm going to track this bug or whatever it is and give it a sound kicking then quietly hide it in YYs boat :)

Just posted this as a FYI in case anyone else runs in to a similar issue. look to see if that forms and search history box is checked, I think it has something to do with it but no idea why.

OK, it's something to do with some websites that have Flash. It must be only a very few sites or maybe only certain things in those websites. They are playing with Flash and causing Flash to stop working.

All working fine. Went back to that news video

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/video/news/video.cfm?c_id=1501138&gal_cid=1501138&gallery_id=124418

and it all stopped working again and in doing so also blocked me from getting in to SOL races. I tried one of their other videos, after another clean out, and it worked fine. Go back to that video above and it all goes bad again.

Where is my big stick, I think someone needs 'The Bash!!'.

Note: The SOL Gods are fine and not the target of said stick. It appears SOL is only collateral damage.

At least now I can start leg 5 knowing how to get in and stop crashing into islands...... not that an island or 2 may not get smacked anyway I suspect :)
Oh, and I can get into either the old or the new interfaces now.

I do prefer the new one though.

Red Eye - Melville Island PYOC 2026

Melville Island is the largest of the Tivi group opposite the port of Darwin in the Timor Sea. Tropically forested and thinly populated, not a lot goes on there, but let’s race around it anyway, lar- or starboard round, it’s a little more than 120nm, so, no matter where you are navigating from on the planet, you will be hard-pressed to complete the course aboard your J-80 in daylight hours!

The third race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us southeastward now down the Pacific, from Guam’s Apra Harbour at 13.5 degrees North, back across the Equator to the glorious New Caledonian resort island of Ouvéa, on the edge of the Tropic of Capricorn at 20.5 degrees South. It’s 2400nm, and there’s more than a few other islands in the way, so mind where you go in your Ocean 50s. Race #1981

Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
