Enclosed is a screen capture of the Optimum Angle tool in which the bottom line has been pushed below the edge of the popup window. The kn from the previous line spills over and disrupts the intended space required.

I have not encountered this but will look into it. Did it resolve, or did you need to reload the app?

What was happening, is that on my machine each line for P/S VMC takes only a single line of text without overflow to next line, so both showed fine.

What I have done is put the Optimum Angles tool into a resizeable window. The 'content' stays anchored to the top left, but you can modify its size as you please by dragging the lower right corner of the window

I would also like to point out on often overlooked feature of this tool - the data logging.

When you open the graph for your Boat Log, it only displays COG/SOG/TWA data, but it collects much more, which you can export in a text format (CSV) to the clipboard by clicking the 'Export' button beneath the graph. The data is directly paste-able into Excel or similar, and includes a header line identifying the various fields:
TIME,LAT,LON,TWS,TWD, TWA,COG,SOG,VMG,VMC,PERF,RANK,DTF
The data is collected for every minute from when you have had the tool open.

The format of the latitude and longitude fields depends on what you have set for display in the Options/General. All numeric fields are given to 3 decimal places (including the lat/lon, so DDM provides more precision)

There certainly is a wealth of information provided by this tool but I am little overwhelmed by how to utilize most of it. The ability to examine the weather field is greatly appreciated.

Agage---am I correct in thinking that the predicted courses are calculated SOLELY upon the wind at the boat position, and make no allowance whatsoever for any future wind changes, even within the present WX, at any position in the predicted courses??
If it breaks, it's not strong enough--if it doesn't, it's too heavy.
I don't think so because sometimes the distance covered in each hour can vary significantly, whether one is sailing CC or TWA.
If it breaks, it's not strong enough!

TuziTekwini TIMED Race 2026

Sailonline is delighted to have been invited again to partner with the King Shaka Yacht Club (KSYC) of South Africa to bring a virtual version of the Tuzi Tekwini Ocean Raceto our online community.
The Tuzi Tekwini Ocean Race is a near 90 nautical mile race down the east coast of South Africa from the port of Richards Bay to the port of Durban. Achievable in a single day and seen by some as an easy mile-builder, the course is more tactical than some think and should not be underestimated. This iconic race promises to be an unforgettable experience for yachting enthusiasts.
Our online version of the race will be a TIMEDrace so you may RE-REGISTER HEREto try again after finishing a run. You will have two weeks to test your skill and decision making after the race opens.
