    Hi everyone!

OK. So I've not been very active here lately that is mainly since I haven't been racing as much as I used to and therefore I haven't worked much on the app either. Sorry about that.

Anyway there is a new version up now on Play Store 0.52. Not so much have changed visibly but there has been a lot of work migrating the app to the current version of AndroidStudio so I can work on it again.
I have done some minor changes:
The wind arrows change in thickness depending on wind strength.
    Sollog page is removed.
Updated permission granting for newer android devices.

Since this is my first build after the migration I hope there will be no issues but you never know. It has been tested on my device with Android 7.0 and one of my older devices with Android 4.4 with no issues.

Hi everyone and sorry for not looking into the forum for some time.

Just found out about the ZigZag race problem. It was caused by "bad/unexpected" data from the server where both the last waypoints had the same ordering number and that caused the app to drop the last one. I will change the app so it can handle simple mistakes like that in the future.

JB: About the switch of the buttons I think it's a good idea so if no one objects I will do that in the next release. About the "graphical tool" not working in the bora bore race. I wasn't in that race so I didn't see it and I have no idea why it happened. I guess I will have to look out for similar problems in the future.

Just uploaded a new version to the play store:

    0.50
Added weather update info when logging in to a race and after a weather update.
Added info about the weather, angle and distance to the aim point in steering mode.

If you ever want to install an older version for any reason all versions are available from here:

Version 0.48 is now up on Google play and it is just a namechange to the 0.48rc so it should work on 4.4.2 devices.

I will start looking at the boat trace problem and see if I can do something about the chat post aswell. I also noted on some of your screenshots that the race view gui looked even worse on a bigger screen (The dashboard buttons and labels was all over the place) so I will see if I can fix that too in the next version.

Thanks javakeda and andebjor for helping me out testing this. I really appreciate that you have taken the time.
I have now made a release candidate 0.48rc that is based on the 0.47.2 version (But has some small tweaks) and is available at the dropbox now. It would be great if you could try it out before I put it on Google Play just to make sure it will work ok.

I will take a look at the problem with showing boat traces for competitors as soon as I find the time (Pretty soon probably).

    OK

I have made two new apk files (0.47.1 and 0.47.2) that you can find at the drop box. They are versions of 0.47 with different changes from the 0.45 release. So if you who have the problems with the 0.47 and 0.46 release can test these versions and tell me if any of them work it would help a lot. It is probably best that you uninstall the client between tries to make sure you try the right thing.

javajkeda or someone else could you try the old 0.45 release again just to verify that it still works?

You can get access to all versions from my dropbox:

    Hi!

I just got my old S III updated with Android 4.4.4 and it work perfectly with the 0.46 version. So I don't know it must be somthing specific to 4.4.2 and it would help a lot if anyone of you who had the problems with the 0.46 version could tell me if 0.47 worked better.

    Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I didn't check the forum earlier. I have now reverted most of the updates of the 0.46 release and published a 0.47 release and I hope this one will work better on 4.4.2 devices. Please keep me informed here.
Again I'm sorry I screwed up the 0.46 release for some of you. I only have my own old Galaxy S III to test on and it worked fine on that one. I will try to get hold of an 4.4.2 device to test on and hopefully the weather loading optimizations will be back again later.

    Regards

    New version available 0.45:
Added a setting to change how many hour of weather you can slide through in the race view (6,12,24,48,96).
Added wind polar lines for the wind level below and above the current level to let you know how the polar will look in higher and lower winds.

Red Eye - Myth of Malham 2025

In 1947, Hugh McLean & Sons of Gourock, Scotland built a radical racing yacht for John Illingworth, soon-to-be Commodore of the RORC, to a design by Laurent Giles. With a masthead rig, giving her ‘free’ sail area per the rules of the time, and short overhangs reducing pitching, Myth of Malham went on to win The Fastnet that year and again in 1949, and to compete in numerous Admiral's Cups. In 1958, in honour of the yacht, the Myth of Malham race was conceived - a mini-Fastnet to the first lighthouse on a rock west of Cowes, Eddystone, rather than the second, to be held in non-Fastnet years. IRL this year it has been raced already, but this stops us not from “Red Eye” racing its online 230nm in Fareast 31Rs, leaving how to deal with the Isle of Wight open to your own discretion.

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
