Understanding how a company, product, or technology compares with competitors is essential for identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for differentiation. Benchmarking analysis provides organizations with a structured way to evaluate competitive positioning using predefined metrics and peer-group comparisons rather than relying solely on qualitative market observations.
Roots Analysis offers a specialized Benchmarking Analysis service to help organizations assess their position within complex and rapidly evolving markets. The methodology is described at https://www.rootsanalysis.com/competitive-intelligence/benchmarking-analysis/. The approach involves identifying relevant companies, products, and technologies and then benchmarking them across defined peer groups using proprietary scoring criteria.
Such analysis can support a wide range of strategic decisions, including product development, portfolio prioritization, technology evaluation, market entry, and competitive positioning. By translating multiple competitive parameters into a structured comparison, organizations can identify areas where they outperform competitors as well as capabilities that require improvement.
Roots Analysis has also applied benchmarking frameworks to specific technology landscapes, including medical exoskeletons, demonstrating how systematic competitive comparisons can reveal white-space opportunities and guide product strategy. For organizations seeking objective, data-driven views of their competitive position, benchmarking analysis can serve as an important component of broader competitive intelligence programs.
  • Product Discontinuation Analysis Review: Market Share, Technological Innovations & Emerging Trends Till 2035
    Board » General Discussion
Product withdrawals—whether due to clinical attrition, commercial underperformance, or SKU rationalization—signal important shifts in competitor strategy and market dynamics. Roots Analysis, an independent competitive intelligence provider, delivers Product Discontinuation Analysis that systematically tracks regulatory filings, corporate disclosures, press releases, and market signals around product exits.
Its framework assesses attrition factors (clinical, commercial, SKU-driven), analyzes internal metrics and KPIs prior to discontinuation, and evaluates recall drivers, trial discontinuations, and contribution margins. Clients have used these insights to anticipate portfolio rationalization, identify white-space opportunities, and reallocate resources more efficiently.
For strategy and portfolio leaders, third-party discontinuation analysis turns competitor exits into early-warning signals and growth opportunities. See how Roots Analysis approaches product discontinuation: Product Discontinuation Analysis – Roots Analysis.https://www.rootsanalysis.com/competitive-intelligence/product-discontinuation-analysis/

In complex life-sciences and healthcare sales cycles, frontline teams often enter key deals without a clear, concise view of how competitors position, where they’re vulnerable, and how to counter their claims in real time. Roots Analysis, an independent competitive intelligence firm, delivers Battle Card Creation that transforms deep competitor research into practical, one-page playbooks for sales, BD, and strategy teams.
Its structured process covers three pillars: strategic competitor profiling (compiling up-to-date data on competitor moves, market positioning, and value propositions), value proposition reinforcement (articulating clear differentiation points and objection-handling narratives to counter rival claims), and a win-rate acceleration toolkit (customized battle cards with tactics, win/loss insights, and decision-ready talking points for real-world engagements). The suite includes continuous competitive signal monitoring to keep cards current and win/loss analysis that translates recurring objections and buyer decision drivers into sharper response strategies.
Clients have used this third-party battle-card framework to sharpen expert engagement in KOL-driven launches, refine go-to-market models for digital therapeutics, and strengthen positioning for connected drug-delivery devices and peptide API partnerships. For commercial and BD leaders, independent battle cards turn scattered competitor intelligence into a consistent, field-ready narrative that improves win rates and shortens sales cycles.

Roma Giraglia Regata 2026

Our eighth race of nine to celebrate all things Mediterranean - fickle winds, history and olive oil – is another buddy-up; this one with the Circolo Nautico Riva di Traiano . Founded in 1984, as the new Traiano yacht Harbour neared completion, the Circola since then has developed into one of the major yachting competition centres in Italy, and next to the 450nm Roma per Tutti (which SOL buddied earlier in the year), the Roma Giraglia Regata is its other headline offshore event. First raced in 2005, the 210nm course takes competitors from Traiano to a rock on the inside of the Ile de la Giraglia off the northern tip of Corsica and back to the Italian mainland for a finish in the bay of Santo Stefano. We’re racing this one in our Class 40!

Cross the Convergence 2026 - Masirah to Chagos

Having crossed, re-crossed and re-re-crossed the Convergence Zones of the Pacific and the Atlantic, we now face our second crossing of the Convergence Zone of the World’s third great equator-spanning sea, the Indian Ocean, taking us from the channel between Masirah Island and the Oman mainland to the Chagos Archipelago. It’s 1900nm and we’ll be sailing our very fine Archer 78, and won’t mention that both locations (of departure and arrival) are heavily militarized and the why’s and what next’s concerning that – mindful as always of SOL Netiquette.
