Board » Flag Officers » Championships » Series Rankings Temporary Problems

Hi ALL ;)

some of you may have noticed that in the last 24 hours the Championship rankings of some series are not accurate ( TRCH TRQ1 - SYCCH -SYQ1 - SUPSOL ) .

What happened is that the closure of the first Timed race revealed that some more fine tuning needs to be performed by Engine Room with the new coding related to new SYC membership impact on rankings .

I am dealing with Engine Room on this subject since it appeared to be in need of intervention , and I am sure that pretty soon everything will be waterproof .

I will post again here when the above series rankings can be considered reliable , or , in any case, to give an update on situation . Meanwhile thank you all for your patience.

Next information by Jan 31st 2300Z or earlier.

Unfortunately the NOAA weather update problems have been keeping me busy so that I haven't had time for fixing this.

However as there are no problems with individual race results, the series rankings should be easy to fix.
I can announce with pleasure that the series rankings fine tuning need is resolved , and I am here to tell you just before my self imposed dealine.

The classic SYCCH - SPRCH and TRCH are OK , as well as their related SYQ1 - SRQ1 and TRQ1.

I still need to double check OCCH and SUPSOL , and this will be possible only when the SWR Leg 3 closes down , as presently the relevant ranking , and , consequently the SUPSOL, are still dynamic. This will happen mid next week, but I am higly confident they are accurate already

Let me thank on behalf of you all Markku ( hmm) who has done a superjob in fixing everything as well as in dealing with max patience with my " clean rankings obsession " ;)

next information (final confirmation) by WED 04FEB 2300Z or earlier.

Red Eye - Key Lime Pie-gatta 2025

Opposite the Bahamas at the tip of the Florida peninsula, we find the Florida Keys, a honky-tonk arpeggio of islands, where another SOL classic, the Key Lime Pie-gatta, so-called after the famous local condensed-milk-based tart speciality, awaits to be navigated once again. We’ll race its “Red Eye” 180nm in very-American Santa Cruz 52s, ignoring such artefacts as bridges, causeways and piers joining the keys one to the other and to the mainland!

Sail Around Turkey 2025

Welcome to the 11th running of one of Sailonline's most iconic races, where our fleet races the length of the Turkish coastline from Hopa (the easternmost harbour on Turkey’s Black Sea coast) to Iskenderun (the easternmost harbour on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast). It’s a 1,372nm race and aboard our classic, 1st decade of the 21st Century, version 2 IMOCA 60, you should be able to get around the course in less than a week. That is if, of course, once you get out of the Black Sea you don’t stop to enjoy the sights or a BBQ or two in the Golden Horn, or on the Marble Islands, now land-locked Troy or Gallipoli or any of the myriad Aegean islands, that you shall have to carefully navigate past.
