Board » Technical Support » NMEA Proxy Exception

Hopefully someone can give me some guidance on where this issue lies. The NMEA Proxy is throwing an exception when it tries to launch and fails with "Unable to launch the application". May be a firewall issue. Exception is:

...... and continues with these two for some time.

Thanks in advance.
Bump. Any suggestions anyone.
This seems to be the same "Server redirected too many times" problem as you had (and still have?) a while back, so is it correct you have this problem at one PC and not the other?
Hate to jump in on this, but I'm getting an error on running the NMEA Proxy too.

Running into an error on unsigned jars.
(Full error msg: http://pastebin.com/6JNr0BAa )

Running Linux Mint, get the same error if I run as user or super user (sudo).

Hopefully not too much of a drift - sorry if it is.
DFL - AFAIK, this is a known issue, however firefox is expected to ask in a pop-up whether you want to run the unsigned jar instead of refusing to run it without asking. You might be able to change this behaviour in firefox' settings.

You will still get a warning about unknown publisher, as I do not have an officially signed certificate...

When I try to run it from Firefox, it opens IcedTea, then fails in an identical way to downloading it and using javaws from the terminal. Using Chrome clicking on the link sends me to java.com.
Installed the tarball from java and installed it to /usr/java (as root) and now works, but still won't communicate the data to qtVlm. Hmm...

One has to love computers. This problem hung around for two weeks, tested again this morning and it is working. And nothing changed - not even a restart. I suspect it was a work group policy change that broke it and then they fixed it.

I am still getting the same problem in spinnacer - that persists.

Camel or Balloon - Khartoum to N'Djamena

As there is a lull in the calendar, your PRO has decided to risk an experiment – a balloon race over land, using a workaround to eliminate the recognition of water/land transitions. If it fails, the server may crash, and we abandon PDQ, hopefully after leg 7 of the ABS race to Suez has been decided, and before the start of the 1st OCC of Q4. Camel or Balloon – c 1000 nm from a field on the north bank of the Blue Nile at Khartoum to a field on the north bank of the Chari River at N'Djamena!
