Just be careful with wireless 3G data amounts if do not have flatrate pricing, SOL uses more data than one might think! =)
Last night i got MS.NET update now I cannot display any race it says to get flash but i have latest version error seems to be with msmxl activex any ideas??
Resolution dont install MS NET 3.5 I just uninstalled this CRITICAL update now every thing OK
I tried to join the Virtual Ostar 09, and I have same problem as describe by several other user: Blank screen, no boat, no chart, and "waiting for weather download"
I tried several ideas posted here: like adjusting 3D setting to max, checking time and time zone, I tried on FFox and IE, without success so far.
If I click on the pair of compas a little circle appear on the left top corner
and If I click on "click to refresh command list" the loading bar appear but nothing changes after that.
I have a Dell Dimension 521
Athlon 64 X2 Dual
ATI Radeon x1300
WINXP Home SP3
Do you have Flash Player 9 or 10. Go to Adobe and make sure you have recent version of flash player. Just google "flash player" for link.
Thanx for the answer captain,
I got the last version of Flash (10.0r2287) but still doesn't work, I tried from 3 different computer, at home, at work... still have blank chart
any further idea ?

same here. Since 2 or 3 days it stops loading with "download weather update". Sometimes it works after a while well. Sometimes nothing happens for hours.

MacOs 10.5.7. latest flash version running on Safari 4.0.1 . Same on Firefox 3.08.
same here. Since 2 or 3 days it stops loading with "download weather update". After about 10 min. it works. I guessed, it might be the high resolution scandinavian weather. But thats not used in the OSTAR...

Hoping I wouldn't join the list of people unable to access not not the case.

A few days ago, and still now, the race won't load up, gets stuck on "Waiting for weather download", with no boats or anything else loaded. Sometimes I get the little yellow triangle with exclamation mark for error on page, with details:
Line: 515
Char: 21
Error: 'null is null or not an object"
Code: 0
URL: http://www.sailonline.org/windy/run/163/
Got that for leg 2 of the Bosphore-Bretagne as well.

Using IE 7.0.5730.11 (can't try with FF or Chrome as work comp and don't have admin rights to install), have Flash 10.0.22.87
Cheers
You can ignore my one above - played around with ActiveX settings in the Security tab, and it works again :)

There must have been a server update late last week which turned some things on or off.

This iconic race promises to be an unforgettable experience for yachting enthusiasts.
Our online version of the race will be a TIMEDrace so you may RE-REGISTER HEREto try again after finishing a run. You will have two weeks to test your skill and decision making after the race opens.

Lake Ontario Offshore Racing (LOOR) welcomes racers to Sailonline’s virtual version of their annual Susan Hood Trophy Race. This year, this pleasant weekender on western Lake Ontario will be of about 60nm in length, and online for convenience will start and finish at the Port Credit Yacht Club (PCYC). At or before the real-life Skipper’s Briefing a decision will be made to race the course clockwise (course Delta) or anti-clockwise (Echo). If there is time we will match this online. Cross the Convergence 2026 - St Helena to Cape Verde

The fourth race of our series of ocean voyages across the World’s convergence zones takes us out of the Pacific into the Atlantic for a 2200nm race in Judel Vrolijk 62’s, from the desolation of St Helena, there where Napolean Bonaparte saw out the end of his life, to the even greater desolation of Fogo in the Cape Verde’s. Tasmania to Kamchatka 2026

Welcome to yet another all-new route. Tasmania to Kamchatka, part of our Ocean Championship and also the third leg of the ROW (Round the Old World) series. Be aware of the obstacles on the way, likely to split the fleet. It's like X:mas to X:mas, crossing the same waters, navigating the same archipelagos. This second race of OCQ2 2026 will be sailed in our revised 'version 2' Imoca 60 Foil. Race #2031
