We're trying to sort out the other browsers/oses. Anyone with working combos please let us know!

No worries if you start normally and want to join in later either. All in good fun, and this is a looong race.

Hallo 76, I can't get in . Not in firefox and not in google chrome, in both I get a server foult.
Leo, (Ned Pano
It would be cool if we could run a race where you can only see the boats that are within normal visual range.
rats Pano... not sure what is happening there. Svein was reporting something similar. Can you decribe when/where you get the error? When you load the race, or sometime else?

The version of adbocker I'm using is 1.3.3, downloaded today. I used the built-in plugin browser, but the url is http://adblockplus.org

Firefox 3.6.13 Still can't get it to work in Chrome.

rhoderunner - yes it's something that gets talked about! I wanted to hide the longitude lines as well for some historic ocean racing ;-)
I my internet security is adjusted too high.I have lower it so I try again

For those using Macs:

I couldn't get the Adblock to work for Safari. Firefox works perfectly though, I'm using Firefox 3.6.13 with Adblock Plus 1.3.3 on a MacBookPro OS X 10.6.5

If anybody has any questions to get Adblock working on their Macs (Firefox) let me know.

Cheers!
Nice idea! I might join in at a later stage. Anyway, I already look only a few times at my boat during working hours, and decide on tactics and strategy mainly in the evening and a bit in the morning.
A real challenge. Great idea.
I'm in.
Is there any way to do this in IE?
Yes, use firefox instead ;-P
You'll be happier and live longer to...

Red Eye - Myth of Malham 2025

In 1947, Hugh McLean & Sons of Gourock, Scotland built a radical racing yacht for John Illingworth, soon-to-be Commodore of the RORC, to a design by Laurent Giles. With a masthead rig, giving her ‘free’ sail area per the rules of the time, and short overhangs reducing pitching, Myth of Malham went on to win The Fastnet that year and again in 1949, and to compete in numerous Admiral's Cups. In 1958, in honour of the yacht, the Myth of Malham race was conceived - a mini-Fastnet to the first lighthouse on a rock west of Cowes, Eddystone, rather than the second, to be held in non-Fastnet years. IRL this year it has been raced already, but this stops us not from “Red Eye” racing its online 230nm in Fareast 31Rs, leaving how to deal with the Isle of Wight open to your own discretion.

Africa by Sea 2025 - Maputo to Mogadishu

The fifth leg of our exploration of Africa By Sea takes us north along the length of the Continent’s succulent sub-tropical and tropical Indian Ocean coast. Much fought over by traders and colonists both well-before and after a Portuguese expedition under the command of Vasco da Gama first sailed there from Europe back in the 16th century, it is yet to be properly explored as a yachting destination. With plenty of islands off- and inshore, small and very large, there is much to interrupt your 1900nm voyage and visit in your Swan 65, from Maputo to Mogadishu! Race #1858
