Can we actually do a race next leg without dividing the fleet in to two groups? A start start with 900+ boats at the same time will be really cluttered.

Poll: Spilt or no split?

You need to be logged in to vote.
I thought we ALL started at the same time. What happened this time was lots of "new" sailors joined after the start and the different weather and the many "new" late starters self divided the fleet into 2 divisions.

However, SYC members vs NON-members is possible idea?

Northern Hemisphere vs Southern Hemisphere, but this will stop all the KIWIS beating the Rest of the World.

Real Life sailors vs Arm chair sailors

Coloured boats in seperate divisions, but "MY" bright Pink boat will ave no competition!! (can't have any racial overtones here can we?)

Veterns of 5+ races vs New sailors

Good sailors vs Bad sailors is a very hard call to get right

So only solution is "ONE MASSED" start.

We can''t have "new" starters join at the front of the fleet can we??? Get real. Take a concrete pill, practice in this race even, if you are last, and start on time in the next race! RTFM!!

Real racing is about winners! So expect to fall 400+ places if you get things wrong, like I have in the Doldrums, but I'm trying to improve now. HARDEN UP!!!!!

If it breaks, it's not strong enough!
Hi

Wow, I personally like the ideas big time. Challenges between continents, countries, etc would be fantastic! Maybe if we ask Wiz kindly he could extend his ranking...
...one of the guys behind the game...

Jakob: I think your getting over excited and are starting to "stutter" again. Do you need a concrete pill too? LOL (8^)))))))))
(If you delete your stutters, you can delete this post as well!! Cheers)

Aaaalrightie then, +1000 boats on the starting line for the next leg. Under what name are you racing on SOL Paul?
I see the pso6ts here show real names, not boat names.
look for NZL_PaulR currently languishing at a lowly P#494

Sinbad Seeks Spices 2023
Having surveyed Arabia, Sinbad Al-SOL’er next invites you to race him on his second of seven epic voyages to every corner of the Indian Ocean and beyond, this time to seek spices in Zanzibar, departing from Xaafun, a trading post on the tip of the Horn of Africa since the days of the Mycenaeans and on through Roman times to the Nights of 1,001 of AL-Sail’or, Al-SOL’er’s illustrious ancestor. SOLing by the sun and the stars, aka seat-of-the-pants, the voyage will take you east as far as Praslin island, south as far as Anjouan, to Zanzibar’s Unguja for all things spices, but only back as far as Mogidishu – another exhausting 3000nm adventure, this time in Reichel/Pugh 66s.
