Fully agreed with the seniments above re the client upgrade... Kudo's to Aaron (wherever he may be sailing fair winds now)
I like to talk a lot... sometimes I even make sense, mostly not...
Toujours ému lors des courses au sujet d'Aaron Gage. je ne pouvais pas faire les autres. Dommage
Agage's 100 Race 2014

SOL's gift to the memory of AGage was a year long series of races circumnavigating Australia. This was the final sprint of that memorial and now being raced to mark the 2nd anniversary of the too-sudden end to the life of this remarkable SOLer. These were Aaron's homewaters - he was a total competitor so... race to win!

Grazie per tutto Aaron, riposa in pace.
While six years seems a long time, in so many ways it feels like just yesterday that we learned of Aaron's unexpected death. Every day on Sailonline, there is something to remind us that without him the site would be so much poorer. {{{Hugs to his family}}}
The AGage 50 is being raced again (first run in 2015).... and one of the races Aaron designed (the Tour Downunder) is also in our 2019 Q3 calendar.

For those new to Sailonline this thread, and our honouring Aaron's memory with at least one race a year, should show just how remarkable a contribution he made, not just in matters technical, but also in the enormous amount of personal time he gave to helping all new to the platform.

<raises a glass> Still missed, mate.

Halifax to Hooper Bay 2024

And now it’s Autumn in the Arctic, the sun is permanently below the horizon, but during the day, from c 0900 to c 1700 local time, there is some twilight – nautical twilight, not to be confused with civil twilight which is brighter. Having receded all summer, ice is starting to return to the numerous straits and bays of Canada’s North West Passage. High time then to set off on our last leg of the High Latitudes Series from Halifax in Nova Scotia to Alaska’s Hooper Bay. It’s 3850nm and we need to hurry, so we’ll take the Pelagic 77!
