    Well put RC, bull's eye!

    I am also amazed that RORC has chosen VR to team up with just for the money. VR is a joke compared to SoL. However, my advise to the developers (being over 60yrs of age) will be to concentrate on the commercial and legal aspects a.w.a. the technical aspects in which they are doing a great job. I make the comparison between Apple and Microsoft (I hope no one gets offended), although Apple had the technical edge and had (and still has) better technology, MS was much more successful commercially & legally (!).
    Unfortunately, the world is not what it used to be and sentiments (honour, fair-play, etc.) of RC's email are replaced by greed, flexing muscles (legally not literally) etc.
    I do not want to discourage the developers but to warn them against bullies who may want to run down the good work they have done.
    I hope that RC's message gets through to RORC and the matter goes away without hurting SoL...

The British Isles Circumnavigation 2026


The British Isles Circumnavigation is here! Inviting skippers to take on an epic 1,720nm clockwise voyage around Britain and Ireland! Starting and finishing in Cowes, the course passes some of the most iconic landmarks in offshore sailing, including Fastnet Rock, Tearaght Lighthouse, Black Rock, St. Kilda and Muckle Flugga before the long run home.
