Hi Zappe, the app is going better and better and you're doing a great job and thank you very much for that!! It's now very complete and easy to use (until not much features will be charged on it, and I also agreed with this point). I used it often in the last time and enjoyed for the utility.
Just another little thing, if you like: in the Avalon 8 I would find very useful to know the lost performance in a series of jibs I made, just to know when the 100% was reached for doing the next one....what do you think about?

very very very...very good job Zappe!
it seems good; exellent by the moment, it can only become better. Thank you very much for your job. I've installed it with no problem, I will test it starting by now. If I find some accident or crash I will keep you informed. GW

AHOY THERE YE LILY LIVERED SWABS!

Sailonline will shortly be running its annual rum race through the Caribbean. Run in proximity to International Talk Like a Pirate Day (Sept 19) it has become a tradition for SYC Members to have the option of changing their normal SOL boat names just within this one race to one influenced by the pirate theme.

I didn't met him, I started in SOL after he left us, but running this series of races it was as if I had known him.
Thanks ITA_4_him, thanks all for him!
I'm sure that all of us have taken part in these races differently from the other ones, waiting with excitement every new leg and giving the most of every minute, giving the technique, the strategies. using the mouse and the keyboard, but especially, I feel we’ve played with the heart.
We brought his memory all around Australia and now I like to believe that in everywhere around Australia hovers his soul.
I wonder to myself if he raced with us, who knows on which boat he was, or which team he was cheering for, who knows what would have been his choices in these races, and who knows how long the Australian’s winds will keep his name and his memory.
The answer, as Bob Dylan says, …..is blowing in the wind!

Well, now that server is gladly up, don't you think it's time to update the news page and post results of the SOL's Round White Island Race? You know, indeed, once I take a podium ... I would like to see me in the home-page :))
    Have a nice job

Red Eye 2026 - Georgian Bay

Welcome to the sensational scenic Georgian Bay of northern Lake Huron, the first area of the Great Lakes to be visited by Europeans in 1615, so former SOLer A2R informed us when he designed this geometrically tortuous course of 317nm criss-cross through its island maze. Originally known as Lake Manitoulin, in 1822 the bay was renamed after King George IV after his succession to the throne. This time we’ll take the very flashy Fareast 31R, which hopefully should keep you wide awake!

Chinook Salmon - Canada to Andreanovs

A year after spawning in the upper reaches of the rivers of British Columbia, Chinook Salmon develop the age-old urge, so familiar to SOLers, to go to sea, heading for different parts of the northern Pacific Ocean. This race catches up with a particular school with an instinctive memory for the Andreanov Islands far west on the Aleutian Islands chain, as they depart the Salian Sea between Vancouver Island and the San Juans. It’s 2200nm and we’re taking the 60ft Trimaran, in the hope we can keep up!
