Arrgh... Feared across the seven seas and known for ruthlessness and sword fighting (but not necessarily sailing ability), I'll once again take the mantle DreadPirateRoberts

Avast, ye brave soul! Yer wish of the name "DreadPirateRoberts" be granted, and ye shall be known as such across the seven seas. Set sail with pride, me heartie, and may yer reputation for ruthlessness and swordsmanship precede ye on every swashbucklin' adventure!

    Enjoy my full night's sleep...

I pledge to sail SOTP for these races. Not a big commitment as it is how I always sail.
Hopefully all entrants will sail SOTP so that we won't be able to check our individual dead reckoning against those that use routers and other aids.

    Help!!!
My boat, brewman, has rounded all marks today in the Lisboa timed race, but only the Vasco de Gama Bridge & Barrerio marks show "Rounded". The boat track clearly goes around Bugio Lighthouse, yet it does not say "Rounded"> All other marks beyond have same issue.
    How can this be?
    What Can be done?
    Thanks, Bruce Flournoy

  • SYC Ranking System
    Board » Sailonline Yacht Club
Was pondering the mechanisms of the SYC overall rankings and noticed that all races are given equal weight, regardless of number of entrants. So, for example, a 150 finish in a popular race with 500 entrants is worth the same as a 150 finish of 151 in a less popular race. This seems somehow inequitable, as one is a top 30% finish while the other could have merely crossed the start line.
I don't have a solution, or even pretend to know if it needs a solution - Just want to throw it out for discussion...
