    Thx Bimmer to point me back here.

    Maitai is taking some day of, this explains some delay in answering you.

    These type of problem are hard to solve as it is probably some small leak of memory.

    To help us narrow the issue, can you please specify:
    - computer type & OS
    - does this affect the overall performence of the computer or just qtVlm ?
    - do you have things running in qtVlm like AIS, other NMEA, alarms ?

    I've seen this subject with maitai, it's my build that is not working for 32b windows. He will post next week a new version that will be ok on your arch

    is it something you get immediately on load or after some actions ?

    I'll see how to test a 32b arch as I don't have any computer left in this arch.

    MapQuest has changed yesterday its policy for tile/map diffusion.

    As a consequence qtVlm can't access anymore to their map atm. We are working on a solution.

    In order to have a map displayed if you used to have mapQuest:
    - go to qtVlm / Configuration / Map
    - select either:
    * offline maps (VLM) = gshhs
    * online VLM maps (gshhs + elevation) to which you can add openSeaMap info

    This has no impact on mbTiles or kap config

    Please use now the above link and follow the steps I've suggested by keeping safe your current qtVlm folder as a copy.

    Just to explain: I'm the original dev of qtVlm but now maitai as taken most of the activity on his side, I'm still doing some stuff like implementing the SOL interpolation in qtVlm (and soon access to SOL boat in qtVlm too). maitai is currently in vacation so even if I know how qtVlm works he is mastering the whole deployment steps. Until he is back we will work with small patches consisting only of new qtVlm.exe file.

    I'm in process of uploading mac version too. I'll post the link asap.

You will need to maintain an average speed of over 10 knots, maybe quite possible with this Maxi Trimaran, but prepare your vessel well and choose the best of the many possible routes. Hands up everyone who knew there were TWO Christmas Islands?! OK, maybe you have sailed this Sailonline course before... but it's time to get ready for the 2025 challenge of racing between Christmas Island in the Pacific to Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean! It also marks the conclusion of our prestigious Ocean Race Championship 2025. Please have fun! Fair winds!

Sinbad by Balloon 2025 - Carnarvon to Dondra


From here, our home in Bharatavarṣa is now north west of us – said Sinbad to his fellow balloonists. Perhaps we can ride the wind first further north, and then catch the winds that every year bring the rain, perhaps not. It’s 2600nm and we could be aloft awhile, so, Master el-Quarters, victuals only, no sandbags, provisioning the giant hamper. It will be not a picnic!
