Cannot Load new release 14_3_0. I am attempting a total first time install. Fails at step 6 of procedure i.e. AG14_pause.bat with a "the system cannot find path specified". I have checked each path and each appears ok, except I cannot find the autogribloader.ini any place on my system.

Please help
@pirate1449
<autogribloader.ini> you will only find after you have logged into your first race with agl.

I assume you are on a windows system.

"the system cannot find path specified" means an environment variable is not set or not set
well.
On windows 10 you can find/edit environmentvariables by clicking on <start> and then type env and then choose <Edit the system environment variables>

You can check there wether <AG14InstallDir> is referring to the directory you have installed AGL.

If you see a difference you can edit the variable to the correct path.

I am still unable to resolve my issue. I have checked windows environment. The "InstallDir" confirms the installed location in my Win10 computer. I had deleted a older version and am attempting to load the new version. Altough I am familiar with windows directories from my DOS days. I have no knowledge of Java. I have attempted to load to a second win10 computer with the same result.

@Pirate1449

I had a similar issue.

When looking at the environment variables as per appelkrat’s instructions I noticed that the path was “C:SOL\Java14\”, not “C:\SOL\Java14\”. After editing the path (again according to appelkrat’s instructions) I can run the program fine.

Hope this helps.

Thank You, Thank You

That solved the problem

I've put up a new version which is available here called AGL_14_3_1_update.zip and is an update as per the install instructions in the manual. This version highlights any BBQs found when using the waypoint or DC checkers.

Enjoy.

RE: 14_3_1_update - there is no .zip file in the folder, only an .rar . Is it someplace else? Looking forward to using that BBQ feature!

-----
Assuming you are on windows you can use the free tool '7-zip' to unpack .rar files.

Hi Kipper,
I am trying to install AGL14 and when I run "AG14_pause.bat" it says "The system cannot find the path specified"
I've checked several times the paths and the seam to be correct.
I added scream shots of the paths and the DOS scream with the error message.

Please and guidance will be appreciated. Thank you.

Iceland to the Falklands 2026

Welcome to an all-new route, the first of three Round the 'Old World' of Europe, Africa, Australia and Asia. To give each leg of the ROW a bit of length we'll try to hug the coasts as little as possible, so starting in Iceland our first leg of the series, which will also be the final leg of our Quarter 1 Ocean Championships takes us 7200nm to the Falklands, the full length of the Atlantic end to end. To make sure we'll get it done within the month we'll be sailing our Maxi Trimaran.
