Polars!
Are Linjett 30-33 available?
Is Linjett 40 available?
Hello TheHorn,

No, these polars are not available as such in SOL. However, if you provide us with the basic data (a file similar to those that you can find on the '?' tab of the race screen), then we can create a new polar in SOL.

But first ask yourself the question whether creating a new polar will really make a difference compared to using some existing polar. The First 40.7 might be close to that boat.

Regards,

Francois

No, maybe no big difference. But Linjett 30 is a very common boat since 1974 and are highly bonded to this particular first race.

Linjett has been buildt since 1974 in various models 30 (29), 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 40, and 45 I think. It has won a lot of races, mostly in Sweden and 5th in Gotland Runt and 2nd in Almarace. So I thought Linjett was enoght common/recognized to you to have their Polars filed. I have no Polar figures for the Linjett models available. :(

Maybe the bouilder can help you?

Google on Linjett and you find a lot...

I have created two races ready to launch.
First one (76Nm) is an old IRL race for 30-33´ 1/2 tonners. (even some 40´s particepated on Hcp).

Second one (202Nm)is my own design for 40´s.
Then First 40.7 could be suitable, but I prefer Linjett 40 as it is local. I worked weekends at the boatyard during 70´. :)

My first wish is a Polar for Linjett 30 for the first race and then a Polar for Linjett 40 for the second race.

Note that more models shown/used in SOL, more sailors will be interested to particepate. -Ohh... look here, our (today or late) boat!

Chances for adds increases...

Pls. advise what to do...

Per-Erik, you are familar with the boat, with the buildder and with the Swedish language. You can certainly find the polars of any Linjett boat much faster than myself or any other member of the race committee.

It requires some time and effort? Yes, it does indeed. That is why I am telling you that.
;-)
Linjett 33 and Linjett 40 implemented and ready to fly :-)
...one of the guys behind the game...
Many thank´s Jacob. I don´t know how to get or make Polars IRL. So many thank´s to you! :)

I saw that you are planning your race calender long time ahead (North Sea Open).

I also have a wish for the start time for the first of my two races (Linjett 33 - 76Nm). The original start time was always Whitsun Eve Saturday at 14:00 CET (12:00 UTC?). I have no 2010 calender yet, but it maybe be 20100529.

My second race for Linjett 40 (202Nm) can be placed where ever you want in your race calender.

All depending on if I´v done everything correct in Google Earth... ;)

Many thank´s guy´s! :)

Ah, très bien Jean-Pierre. C'est une grande classique qui manquait à SOL.

Thanks Jean-Pierre. A great classic which was missing on SOL.

The kmz is ready to go. I made only minor corrections. We will try to field it in March, and of course again in June.

Hi!
How do I add a photo in the label which pops upp when I tick on a pushpin, start dot, course line, etc.?

Race three (1174Nm) is now ready to launch. But I check, recheck and check again (very insecure), who check that I have done everything correct?

E-mail address?

I don´t want to flash all my mistakes on the Forum. I´m ready to share my courses via the Forum when I know how to do it correct.

Sinbad Braves the Bay of Bengal 2023
“Sinbad, you sorry sailor, why have you not told me of this great sea, this giant bay, stretching hundreds of thousands of qasbah east of Al-Hindi to fabled lands where tea and rice and rubber is abundant?” and Sinbad replied “Ahh, umm, shall I go have a look. May I take the Judel Vrolijk 62 again, it’s going to be a long voyage, perhaps a million and one half qasbah (c 3000nm)? I’ll start in Chittagong and follow the coast to the southern tip of the Hindus’ land, round Serendip, head east into the vastness of the seas, and if I’m lucky (no pun intended, oh Mighty One) I shall find land again and then head north and see where I end up”. “Fair winds, Sinbad”, said the Sultan.

Maryland to Alaska 2023
Welcome to this September edition of 2023 OCCH. This route was first sailed in 2020. At the time it was inspired by Matt Rutherford's single-handed Red Dot Expedition around the Americas in 2012, SOLer Renegade proposing a half-around from Maryland over the North into the Pacific and back through the Panama Canal, in 5 legs, 5 years later. Leg 2 across the North West Passage proved to be particularly challenging and so to create a proper Ocean Race, SRC combined Leg 2 with Leg 1 to give you a race of at least 4000nm from Maryland to Alaska, now to be sailed in our magnificent Archer 78.
