How do I add a photo in the label which pops upp when I tick on a pushpin, start dot, course line, etc.?

Race four (150Nm) is now ready to launch. But I check, recheck and check again (very insecure), who check that I have done everything correct?

Any e-mail address?

In some cases is it impossible for me to follow your guide lines.

1. Position start and finish of
longer races clear of immediate
obstacles, as many players
might want to use delayed

Either you race or not. What say´s that some don´t need DC´s in the middle of the race? No, this is NOT a good idea!

2. Fine-tune the Latitude and the Longitude.

Almost impossible as my courses so far are located in very narrow waters. Fine tuning put the lines and pushpins on the "high way". ;)

3. The finish line should be
approximately perpendicular to the
line between the last waypoint and
the finish.

This is just for lazy/late skippers who want to use DC and CC over the line. I think we should try to minimize the numbers of pushpins if possible instead.

4. The length of the finish line should be...

Physical impossible in some of my races as the waters are too narrow.

PS. I don´t want to flash all my mistakes on the Forum. I´m ready to share my courses via the Forum when I know I have done them properly.

IMHO the Caribbean Sprint can and should be re-run many times with preference starting early Fridays. That is a perfect race for a long snowy weekend.
What a great race that is.
I also prefer archipelago races and Caribbean Sprint is one of them.

If you like or prefer fairly short archipelago races, you should know that I have sent Inco four (4) races which I hope will be launched during the upcoming spring 2010.
Dear all,

Race suggestions from all members of the SailOnline community are most welcome!

The race committee has standardized a format that anyone who wants to suggest a new race can use. Just download the attached tutorial and follow the instructions.

Francois (Incognito)
Ladys and Gents,

What is the next race?

I had family issues during the weekend and could not race the "Mini800NM part 2" and the "Figaro Transat" is too much for me to chew.

So, I am sitting on the dock bored and longing for a race.

Please any race, but a long long one.

Thanks all,
To Crew/Inco!

It´s OK for you to launch my proposed races if you like them. Starting with The Classic on the 22nd of May at 12 UTC.

if I follow the link to propose an race an empty pages open! I guess I make mistake somewhere but I dont know where! any body can help?
If you are referring to the link in Incognito's first post in this thread to the Google Earth Race Proposals PDF, you can find that file here:

I saved a copy there when someone else was having trouble opening it as well.

Thank you Philip.. I got yours:..
Newport RI to Bermuda. One of the Big 3 ocean races (with Fastnet & Sydney Hobart). Starts 19th June 2010. I can write the info for it.

Current Races:

Tour Down Under 2022
It will be 694nm of killing racing on an amazing route created by SOL'er AGage. In the chat of the first edition of this race, Tyger wrote "Only an Aussie (and a crazy one) with intimate knowledge of these waters could have come up with such a racecourse". Well maybe AGage was a bit crazy, but he was also a genius when he made it, inspired by the great cycling race "Tour Down Under". Instead of bikes we will use fast 60ft Trimarans. So rest well and prepare large amounts of coffee. You will have at least two days without sleep. 😊
